Ink.
Pressure.
Paper.
Possibility.
Welcome to Kamloops Printmakers—a community where ideas are etched, rolled, pressed, and transformed into original works of art.
Every print tells a story.
Every layer leaves a mark.
Whether you’re a seasoned printmaker, a curious beginner, a collector, or someone who simply loves supporting local artists, we are your people!
What is Printmaking?
Printmaking is the art of creating original images by transferring ink from a hand-crafted surface onto paper, fabric, wood, or other media. It’s a process built on experimentation, craftsmanship, and a little bit of magic.
Woodcuts. Linocuts. Etching. Monotype. Screenprinting. Collagraph. Relief. Intaglio.
Each technique has its own rhythm, texture, and surprises.
Every pull from the press is both familiar and completely unique. Unlike a digital reproduction, an original print carries the evidence of the artist’s hand—the carved line, the rolled ink, the pressure of the press, the texture of the paper.
Printmaking celebrates imperfection, process, and discovery.
