ABOUT

Kamloops Printmakers Icon -Grey.png

The Kamloops Printmakers Society is a vibrant, artist-run collective where ink meets imagination and tradition intertwines with experimentation. As the only printmaking cooperative in British Columbia's Interior, the Society provides a shared studio where artists gather to explore, create, and celebrate the rich world of print-based media.

Inside the studio, you'll find an inspiring mix of presses, screens, inks, and tools—made possible through the generosity and dedication of its members. From the bold textures of relief printing and the intricate lines of etching to the vibrant layers of screen printing, the space invites artists of all experience levels to discover, refine, and expand their creative practice.

Founded in 2007, the Society grew from a vision shared by graduates of Thompson Rivers University's Bachelor of Fine Arts program who wanted to ensure that printmaking could continue to flourish in the region. Rather than leaving the Interior to pursue their craft, they built a place where artists could remain connected, collaborate, and keep the centuries-old art of printmaking alive while continually pushing its boundaries.

Today, the Kamloops Printmakers Society is more than a studio—it's a creative community where ideas are pressed into paper, friendships are forged over ink-stained hands, and every print tells a story.
